Our Story — From the Founders of Zahya
Our story
We didn’t just start a business — we started with a belief.
Back in March 2021, what began as a small venture was built on a simple thought: why should the essentials of a sacred journey feel ordinary? We believed Ihram — the very garment worn in devotion during Hajj and Umrah — deserved more. More comfort, more purity in fabric, more intention behind every thread.
So we set out to create something better. With Zahya, we chose not to follow the crowd. No shortcuts, no compromise on fabric or finish — just hand-picked textiles, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a deep respect for what Ihram represents.
That same devotion to quality shaped everything else we made — including the premium towels that first introduced Zahya to our community. Over time, customers began to notice, and so did platforms like Amazon, where we were proudly marked as “Amazon’s Choice,” “Bestseller,” and “Recommended“.
We’ve always seen Zahya as more than a label. It’s an experience — a sense of comfort, purity, and quiet luxury carried into life’s most meaningful moments, whether that’s the Ihram worn on a pilgrimage or the softness of a towel after a long day.
Because at the end of the day, we’re still stitched to the same purpose that started it all:

From Fibre to Fabric
Zahya’s Ihrams and majority of Towels are manufactured in Tamil Nadu, one of India’s major textile hubs. The state holds a premier position in India’s spinning industry, with around 46% of the country’s total spinning capacity and more than half of India’s spinning mills.
Tamil Nadu’s textile ecosystem extends across spinning, weaving, knitting, processing and garment manufacturing, supported by established textile clusters across the state. This deep manufacturing expertise is one of the reasons we chose Tamil Nadu for our products.
But our standards go beyond where our products are made.
Our towels and Ihrams are made with pure cotton or bamboo fibres, depending on the product. We also specify fresh, virgin fibre yarns rather than recycled fibres, because we believe the quality of a premium textile begins with the quality of its raw material.
From fibre to yarn, from yarn to fabric — we pay attention to every step that defines the quality of what you receive.
